The Vital Role of Knowledge

When you find yourself in trouble, your only savior will be the deposit of knowledge you have stored in your mind. Without information, you are doomed when crises arise. For example, if you were to fall into deep water right now, it is not panic or thrashing that will save you; it is the specific knowledge of swimming you have previously accumulated that will be your rescue.

Those without knowledge operate on assumptions. When they fall into water, they assume that rushing or struggling is the solution, but they drown. Those with knowledge remain calm and execute the right actions. We live in the Information Age; you are either learning or perishing. The old adage says, "If you want to hide something from a black man, just put it in a book." This saying was not just relevant for the past generation; it unfortunately still plagues the current generation. The Apostle Paul said these things were written for our examples and learning, referring to the perishing of people in the past.
